Moving forward together is the only way to ensure a win for all-and at IPP, we are fully aligned with that belief. In a recent discussion with Dubai Municipality, we explored key focus areas where we aim to align with government efforts in driving a long-term revolution in recyclability.
Key areas of focus include:
As one of the top plastic packaging companies in the UAE, IPP is committed to supporting the UAE government’s sustainability initiatives. We are willing to participate in and lead this movement from the front. Our existing recycling infrastructure already contributes to reduced waste while ensuring maximum reusability of recycled materials.
Despite the benefits, using recycled content in current machinery presents operational challenges. It can shorten machine lifecycles and impact the consistency of Acceptable Quality Limits (AQLs) approved by customers. Addressing these issues requires focused technological upgrades and government-backed incentives to encourage broader industry participation.
A major hurdle is feedstock continuity. Available feedstock is often poorly segregated, necessitating additional investments in manpower and technology for effective sorting, segregation, and cleaning.
Regulatory bodies must play a proactive role by streamlining qualification processes for the safe use of recycled content-particularly in direct food-contact packaging.
IPP(Integrated Plastics Packaging) is proud to be recognized among the top plastic packaging companies in the UAE. We remain dedicated to our customers, partners, and the environment by investing in sustainable packaging goals and actively participating in every government-aligned initiative.
IPP actively supports UAE sustainability initiatives by investing in recycling infrastructure, improving reusable packaging systems, and participating in government-aligned programs focused on recyclable and sustainable plastic packaging solutions.
Using recycled content can create challenges such as machine wear, inconsistent material quality, feedstock segregation issues, and maintaining approved packaging quality standards for customers.
Consistent and properly segregated feedstock helps improve recycling efficiency and material quality. Poorly sorted recyclable materials require additional manpower, cleaning, and advanced technology for effective processing.
IPP focuses on expanding recycling capabilities, improving recycled content usage, and supporting sustainable packaging innovation. As one of the leading plastic packaging companies in UAE, IPP remains committed to environmentally responsible packaging solutions and long-term sustainability goals.
